Ohiopyle State Park

Another great Pennsylvania State Park. This one had great sky in the RV loop for the working crew.

It was not the greatest for cover during the electrical storm. I’m pretty sure lightning hit somewhere in this field because my hair was standing up on my arms when the crack of thunder woke me up.

The storms ran through and cooled the air down for a slow a beautiful rails to trails ride along the Youghiogheny River (pronounced “Yock-a-GAY-nee).

We are heading now to bark camp. Guess what. It’s raining again but it’s still a beautiful ride. Pennsylvania is quite lovely.

Hickory run State Park

We left Hammonasset heading across Eastern pa to hickory run State Park. With late check outs (3pm) PA ranks high in my state list. Hickory run is right in the middle of an awesome rails to trails and boulder fields with nice little streams worth exploring (shades of death trail)

We truly enjoyed the lehigh gorge rails to trails. The gorge was lined with historical River locks that raised the river 600 feet in 26 miles.

Then to top it all off it’s got this random boulder field.

It was an awesome  day
